New EU Official Journal publication
Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/1954 of 12 October 2022 as regards EN ISO 10087:2022 "Small craft - Craft identification - Coding system"On the basis of the request set out in Implementing Decision C(2015) 8736, CEN revised harmonised standard EN ISO 10087:2019 on craft identification and coding system for small craft, the reference of which is included in Annex I to Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/919. This resulted in the adoption of the harmonised standard EN ISO 10087:2022 on craft identification and coding system for small craft.
The presumption of conformity has been in place since 17 October 2022.
The main changes of the new standard compared to its predecessor are as follows:
- Clause 2 has been updated;
- in 3.4, a reference to the source has been added;
- a note has been added in 4.5;
- a Bibliography has been added.

Be aware that according to Article 7, cl. 4 of the Directive 2013/53/EU it is the manufacturer’s obligation to use always the latest harmonised standard in order to achieve Presumption of Conformity.
