Polite reminder to update the CE manufacturer's plate
It is now really the time to adapt the builder’s plate for boats delivered to the EU.Both ISO standards “Small craft - Builder's plate (ISO 14945:2021)” and “Small craft - Maximum load capacity (ISO 14946:2021)” were published in December 2021 already and apply from 9 December 2021(see IMCI news of 14.12.2021).
Since then, the new “Mass for builder’s plate, mMBP” must be specified on the builder’s plate. This mass for builder’s plate, mMBP thereby excludes any “allowance for mass of optional equipment and fittings not included in the manufacturer’s basic outfit”. In addition, the mass for the OB engine is no longer included in the mass for builder’s plate, mMBP.
This change must be implemented accordingly in the owner's manual and on the Declaration of Conformity (DoC).
Please feel free to direct any questions about this news to IMCI.
