IMCI announces new Managing Director
The International Marine Certification Institute Board of Directors announces Ulrich Manigel as new Managing Director, effective 1. January 2025.Ulrich Manigel has worked for IMCI since 2002, and for the last 8 years as General Manager and Director of Certification. He holds a degree as master craft boatbuilder, and has worked in the recreational craft industry for over 30 years.
Manigel has participated as an expert on various ISO/Technical Committee 188 working groups for Small Craft, has represented IMCI at Recreational craft Sectoral Group meetings, and has given numerous lectures and workshops about CE certification of boats and components. Additionally, he serves as a boat and yacht inspector for the National Marine Manufacturers Association and is the chair of the German Surveyor’s Association, VBS e.V.
Manigel replaces Ulrich Heinemann, who retired from the company on December 31.
